Forest Therapeutic Counselling Agency are committed to offering high quality therapy from qualified and highly experienced therapists. As an Agency we are also committed to working with gender and sexual minority therapists and clients and work positively to promote high quality therapy for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and others who identify as being sexual minorities.Our team comprises a number of Associate Therapists who themselves positively identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual. We have also undergone training with www.pinktherapy.com who have set up the UK's first online Directory of Pink Therapists to list qualified therapists around the UK who adopt a sexuality-affirmative stance.
At Forest we have a policy of being open with clients about the provision of therapy services and the training and experience we have. We will not problematise your gender identity or your sexuality - to us, sexual difference is just that, a difference. However, we do appreciate and recognise that living with prejudice, stigma and oppression can cause real pressure on a day to day basis and are committed to providing both emotional and psychological support to counter this.
